Confidential Evaluation and Assessment
Whether you are suffering from an eating disorder or a drug or alcohol abuse problem, one of our Clinical Directors, Primary Therapists or Addiction Counselors are available to perform an initial evaluation and assessment during the Intake Process to help you determine the level of care that is most appropriate for you. The assessment takes anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes on average. At the end of the clinical evaluation, we will explain the results of your bio-psycho-social assessment, and provide our clinical recommendations. At that point, treatment options and the different levels of care will be discussed. Generally, our clients will admit the same day they are assessed, however you always have the option to schedule your admission after the initial assessment is performed.
No Cost Insurance Benefits Verification
Our intake specialists are also experts in insurance benefits verification. At no cost to you, they will call your insurance company and find out whether you have a copay, coinsurance responsibility, and/or deductible. Then, they can discuss all relevant fees and ancillary charges with you prior to admission, so that you are completely aware of your potential financial obligation before you start the program. This gives you piece of mind that there will be no surprises about financial responsibility once you have started your treatment.
We understand how difficult it can be to finally accept that formal treatment is a necessary stepping stone on the path to recovery. In an effort to reduce waiting times and respond as quickly as possible to every person’s urgent need be accepted into one of our programs, most Intake appointments, Psychiatric Evaluations and Medical Clearances can be scheduled within 48 hours of the initial request for urgent admission.

Offering All Levels Of Care
While 95% or all of our patients receiving an assessment can be safely and appropriately placed in one of our programs, in case a higher level of care is required due to an acute physical condition requiring immediate hospitalization, a referral can be made to an inpatient hospital specializing in either addiction or eating disorder related complications. We understand that the decision to enter a treatment program can be filled with much anxiety and apprehension, and we want to make that process as painless as possible. Therefore, if you are flying for your recovery, New Dawn will pay your airfare! Simply complete the Residential Program (30 days) and upon discharge we will either credit your account or, if you are paid in full, write you a check for the full cost of you airfare (up to $500). We will also provide free airport transfers to and from the residential facility.
