Addiction to drugs or alcohol is a chronic disease that involves mental and physical dependency on alcohol, drugs, prescriptions pills, or any other mind altering addictive substance. These addictions tend to cause problems at work, family discord at home, financial problems, legal problems, and often will result in death if not treated. Our Drug & Alcohol Rehab Centers in Sacramento offer proven, effective solutions to addiction with 5 – 7 day medical Detox, short and long term residential programs (30 – 90 days), and intensive outpatient centers serving Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Roseville, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, and Orangevale.
What Causes Drug or Alcohol Addiction?
This disease is believed to be caused by a combination of genetic factors (such as if a person had parents or grandparents that suffered from the disease) and environmental factors (such as the influences of one’s peers, their partner, or traumatic events in their lives). While there is no “cure” for this disease, thousands of people have learned how to successfully manage or eliminate their symptoms and live healthy and fulfilling lives in sobriety with the help of New Dawn’s Drug Rehab Centers and FREE continuing aftercare support. We always have counselors available 24/7 if you would like to call and schedule a free, confidential evaluation to find out whether or not you may be suffering from this disease.

Our clinical approach involves both traditional therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) that are evidence-based and supported by positive outcomes, as well as experiential therapies such as Equine Assisted Therapy, Tai Chi, QiGong, Acupuncture, and Recreational therapy in the form of daily health club access to California Family Fitness. We also introduce the twelve step philosophy and accompany our clients to outside twelve step meetings twice per week. It is this combination of therapy modalities that has resulted with our clients reporting a 95% satisfaction rate with our drug rehab centers.
Customized Relapse Prevention with Individual Therapy Sessions
At our drug rehab centers, we understand that the single most effective treatment component is the quality of the clinical staff. - Environmental influences (family, friends, career pressures)
- Genetic influences (history of disease within the family)
- Possible Mental Health influences (anxiety, depression, etc.)
- Past experiences or traumas
- Exploring Anger and Resentments
- Exploring healthy Coping skills
- Existing and potential support systems
- Family Struggles, past and/or current
