The key factors that matter most are the use of evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, intensive individual and family counseling with masters level therapists and addiction specialists, and a person’s own commitment to their recovery.
In most cases insurance will cover most if not all of your treatment costs. That’s because we are a network provider with most insurance companies and labor unions. However we do not accept Medicaid, Medical, or Kaiser.
While all treatment plans are customized for every individual based on his or her needs and level of acuity, generally speaking those suffering from either drug or alcohol addiction or an eating disorder will need long-term treatment to fully achieve lasting recovery. Yes. While many programs (especially the most expensive ones) will argue that treatment is most effective away from your hometown, this is completely false and not supported by any research whatsoever. What is supported by research is the fact that individuals who have a strong aftercare support system in place, and who participate in intensive outpatient following their Residential program stay have the highest rates of success. Family involvement is also extremely important, and will be limited if you don’t go to a treatment center in your hometown.
