New Dawn Complete Care
New Dawn’s Sacramento Detox Centers provides 24-hour care in gender separate, homelike settings. Our aim is to help each person’s detox be as quick and painless as possible. We have a team of nurses, master’s level therapists, medical assistants, EMT’s, and on-call Physicians available around-the-clock. New Dawn’s Sacramento Detox Center also has separate houses for men and women for added privacy and piece of mind.
Each house has no more than 6 residents, and private rooms are available upon request for an additional fee. Amenities include relaxing living rooms, dining rooms, wall-mounted flat screen T.V.’s in the bedrooms, full kitchens, comfortable mattresses, and fresh linens. Healthy nourishing meals are prepared daily by our culinary arts trained chef. Private backyard patios are a popular place to relax and make new friends during the short detox phase.
Detox is the process of abstaining from drugs and/or alcohol and allowing the body time to be rid of these toxic substances so it can begin to repair itself. Detox is necessary when one has been using drugs or alcohol for such a long period of time that they cannot stop using without going through physical withdrawals. One can detox “cold turkey” on their own, but this is rarely successful and never recommended.
Life-threatening medical complications can arise during the withdrawal phase when not supervised and treated properly. Most of our patients at the Sacramento Detox Center finish the program after 5 – 7 days. Residential treatment is the next step following Detox because that is where individuals learn the coping skills necessary to stay sober.
Individuals typically experience the following symptoms during detox: extreme anxiety, shakiness, cold sweats, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, depression, irritability, fatigue, muscle aches, trembling and headaches. Detox from alcoholism can also include life-threatening seizures, and should never be attempted without medical support.
Examples of drugs that we detox individuals off of include: cocaine, heroin, opiates, vicodin, oxycontin, percocet, methadone, suboxone, klonopin, xanax, ambien, somas, meth, amphetamine, club drugs, marijuana, and many other types of habit forming drugs. Our Doctors are specially trained in addiction medicine, and have helped thousands of individuals safely and completely detox from drugs and alcohol.
While a medically supervised detox program will help ensure a safe cleansing of toxic chemicals from the body with minimal withdrawal symptoms, detox alone does nothing to prevent a person from using again because it will not reduce the intense cravings. Drug and alcohol addiction is a life-threatening, chronic illness that requires intensive individual counseling and treatment in a structured setting. At New Dawn’s Sacramento Detox Center, all of our patients are strongly encouraged to admit into the residential treatment program immediately following their Detoxification. The residential rehab program is conveniently located just two blocks from the detox houses.
We offer 30, 60, and 90 day residential treatment programs with a focus on relapse prevention, family therapy and coping skills. New Dawn has one of the only residential programs in the country that offers 30 days of free treatment if a relapse occurs within one year of graduation. We stand by the effectiveness of our Detox and rehab programs, and understand that relapse is a common occurrence among individuals recovering from drug or alcohol addiction.

If you do not have insurance or prefer to pay cash out of pocket, please reach out for a confidential call to discuss treatment options as well as cost.
Many alcohol and drug rehab centers will advertise that “insurance is accepted”, but if you look at the fine print on their website, they will usually disclose that YOU are responsible for billing your insurance company. This means that they are actually NOT a preferred provider with your health plan, and that you will have to pay the FULL cost of treatment at admission. That is a big risk to take with tens of thousands of dollars, and a heavy burden to carry while in early recovery.
At New Dawn, there is no fine print when we say that insurance is accepted. We will verify your benefits for you, and tell you during the pre-admission process exactly what your out-of-pocket expenses will be. We will never charge you more than your copay or deductible for covered services, and we are experts at getting as much treatment authorized as your insurance will allow. Billing your insurance is also something we do on your behalf, so that you can focus on what matters most – your recovery.
Many insurance plans cover up to 100% of our costs. Call us for a confidential insurance verification, and get started on your road to recovery today.
