Who is New Dawn?

Northern California & Nevada's Most Comprehensive Addiction, Substance Use, & Co-Occurring Mental Health Treatment Centers.

Part of what makes New Dawn’s rehabilitation programs so effective is our ability to support the entire recovery process by offering a complete continuum of care, from medically monitored Detox and Residential Treatment to Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, and Aftercare. Our clinical staff are also highly respected in their fields, and are have dedicated their lives to helping other overcome their struggles with addiction. All of the services we offer are CARF accredited, which ensures that we are collecting feedback from our patients on a regular basis. We use this feedback to constantly make improvements to our rehab and eating disorder programs. For this reason, we receive 95% program satisfaction rates on average from our graduating clients.

Family Owned  Organization

Meet Our Team

We are proud to be one of the only family owned rehabilitation organizations in California.

Other programs have shareholders and investors to answer to, while our #1 focus is providing clinically excellent and compassionate care to the individuals we serve. That is why when you compare our rehab centers to other ones, you will notice that we have more experienced staff with masters and PhD level credentials, and a higher clinical staff to patient ratio. Founded in 1987 by the Morton family, we have had our own past experiences with eating disorders and alcoholism, and have seen first hand the transformation that a person is capable of when they are free of their addiction or eating disorder. Our commitment to helping others find this freedom and get their lives back is what drives us to strive for clinical excellence every day, and with every patient.

Commitment to Clinical Excellence

Why New Dawn

You will notice that all of our rehab centers are small, comfortable, and home-like.

Other local programs often brag about how big they are, and how many beds or “treatment spots” they have. While I am sure that is impressive for their investors and shareholders, our primary goal is to maximize each patient’s treatment experience by offering small group sizes and individual therapy on a regular basis. We also provide single sex housing in our Detox and Residential Rehab centers, and limit capacity to only six residents per house. This allows our patients to receive the clinical attention they deserve so that they can focus on learning how to live their lives in recovery.
