At New Dawn, we understand that pregnancy and the postpartum period bring profound changes – physically, emotionally, and socially.
For many, this is a joyful season, but it can also be incredibly overwhelming. Depression, anxiety, and trauma can surface or intensify during this time, leaving new and expecting parents feeling isolated and uncertain.
Our Perinatal & Postpartum Outpatient Program was created to meet these needs with compassion, evidence-based care, and flexibility. Designed for women and birthing parents during pregnancy and after delivery, this program helps clients navigate perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), postpartum depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges.

Why Specialized Perinatal & Postpartum Treatment Matters
Perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns are more common than many people realize, yet they’re often minimized or misunderstood. New parents may feel pressure to “push through” or blame themselves for struggling, while stigma keeps many from reaching out for help. The reality is that seeking support is not a weakness. It’s one of the strongest choices you can make for yourself and your family.
Left untreated, depression, anxiety, and trauma during this period can affect not only your own well-being, but also your baby’s development, your relationships, and your family’s stability. By addressing these challenges early in a safe, supportive environment, parents can begin to heal, rediscover their strength, and build deeper connections with both themselves and their children. At New Dawn, we believe you deserve that chance – for you, and for the little one who depends on you.
Perinatal Care: Support During Pregnancy
Mental health challenges don’t wait until after delivery. Many clients experience anxiety, depression, or trauma symptoms while pregnant, sometimes made worse by medical complications, previous pregnancy loss, or difficult life circumstances.
Our program provides a safe space to process fears, stressors, and personal histories that may shape the pregnancy experience.
Safe, trauma-informed therapy to process fears, past trauma, or anxieties about childbirth.
Mind-body support through yoga, mindfulness, and stress reduction to promote well-being for both parent and baby.
Alongside therapy and holistic supports, we provide education and planning tools to help parents prepare for the postpartum transition. Coordination with OB/GYNs ensures treatment is integrated and responsive to physical health needs, so clients never feel like they’re navigating pregnancy alone.
Postpartum Care: Healing After Birth
After childbirth, many parents face challenges that are rarely discussed openly. Postpartum depression, anxiety, and trauma from birth experiences can create added stress during a season that already feels overwhelming.
Our outpatient model makes treatment truly accessible, allowing clients to continue caring for their families while receiving the support they need.
Flexible scheduling with infant-friendly options – babies up to 6 months can attend sessions.
Holistic recovery supports like yoga, mindfulness, and pelvic floor healing.
In this safe, supportive environment, parents gain tools to regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and strengthen connections with their infants and families.
With group therapy and peer support reducing isolation, healing becomes less about “getting through it” and more about finding balance and rediscovering joy.
A Trauma-Informed, Family-Centered Approach
Every aspect of our program is grounded in trauma-informed care. We know that perinatal mental health is deeply shaped by past experiences, medical interactions, and cultural contexts. That’s why our team works to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported without stigma.
Healing also extends beyond the individual. At New Dawn, we encourage family and partner involvement, offering therapy and support groups that strengthen the relationships surrounding the parent. By engaging loved ones and peers in the process, clients leave with stronger networks of support that continue long after treatment ends.

FAQs
How Can I Pay for Treatment?
Many alcohol and drug rehab centers will advertise that “insurance is accepted”, but if you look at the fine print on their website, they will usually disclose that YOU are responsible for billing your insurance company. This means that they are actually NOT a preferred provider with your health plan, and that you will have to pay the FULL cost of treatment at admission. That is a big risk to take with tens of thousands of dollars, and a heavy burden to carry while in early recovery.
At New Dawn, there is no fine print when we say that insurance is accepted. We will verify your benefits for you, and tell you during the pre-admission process exactly what your out-of-pocket expenses will be. We will never charge you more than your copay or deductible for covered services, and we are experts at getting as much treatment authorized as your insurance will allow. Billing your insurance is also something we do on your behalf, so that you can focus on what matters most – your recovery.
Many insurance plans cover up to 100% of our costs. Call us for a confidential insurance verification, and get started on your road to recovery today.
We have a number of affordable treatment options available that are designed to make recovery accessible without causing financial strain. In fact, we have a Treatment Pricing Guarantee that promises to match the cost of any comparable treatment center. We also offer special discounts to Veterans, First Responders, former Union workers and their family members, as well as to our Alumni.
Additionally, If you are interested in financing your out-of-pocket expenses, we have partnered with My Treatment Lender to help you access funds for treatment. They offer flexible financing options, low monthly payments and competitive interest rates for part or all of your drug and alcohol treatment costs. Call us today, we can help you get the life back that you deserve.
If you do not have insurance or prefer to pay cash out of pocket, please reach out for a confidential call to discuss treatment options as well as cost.
