Luxury Drug Rehab at New Dawn Treatment Centers

Since 1987, our family‑owned team has delivered intimate, clinically grounded care. Luxury rehab here means small, single‑sex homes and personalized treatment.

Luxury Rehab

Luxury Drug Rehab in Northern California and Reno

At New Dawn’s luxury residential treatment, our clients receive an elevated level of comfort as they receive care for both addiction and mental health services. Our three California locations allow healing through evidence-based therapies and gender-specific care. These modalities, in conjunction with holistic approaches, provide clients with the tools and support needed for sustainable recovery.

As of 2025, 16.6% of Californians reported consuming excessive amounts of alcohol. Many who have been habitually drinking don’t realize they are managing an addiction. They withdraw from loved ones, and addiction is hard to navigate alone. For those living with addiction, seeking any kind of residential accommodation is overwhelming, and finding luxury private treatment that also is effective is a challenge.

New Dawn’s luxury treatment centers are effective, private, and personalized, allowing clients to receive the healing that they need while benefiting from the comfort and safety of a high end home-like environment with concierge services.

What We Treat

What We Treat at New Dawn’s Luxury Drug Rehabs

In the brain, memories, thoughts, feelings, and movements are all processed by cells called neurons. Neurons are organized into circuits and networks that send, receive, and process signals throughout the nervous system. To send a signal, neurons release neurotransmitters that communicate with other cells throughout the nervous system.

The use of substances interferes with the way that neurons communicate through neurotransmitters by over-activating the brain’s “reward circuit.” This area of the brain is responsible for motivation, the pleasurable effects of healthy activities, and the formation of habits and routines. When this part of the brain has been repeatedly overactivated by a substance, the circuit adapts to it, and it becomes hard to feel anything without the substance.

The use of substances is tied to underlying trauma, mental health, and other complex brain functions. The coping mechanism of using substances rewires these neurons. In treatment we work to unravel and reroute these pathways using proven therapeutic modalities like CBT, ART, DBT, and other therapies in a customized treatment plan.

At New Dawn, our treatment plans are tailored to care for the mind, body, and spirit of those living with a substance use disorder. Every plan is constructed around the specific needs of our clients, no matter where they are in their recovery journey.

Every patient is different, and we know that no single plan will work for everyone. With the right combination of medical support, therapeutic care, and tools for recovery, we help our patients regulate their nervous system and rebuild the foundation for lasting stability. How We Treat

How We Treat Addiction at New Dawn Luxury Treatment

We are focused on healing a person’s whole being to promote physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness. To best achieve this, we use evidence-based addiction treatment in conjunction with trauma informed, holistic, and experiential therapies to provide our clients with the tools to create lasting healing.

We provide our clients with effective treatment through traditional therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma, and motivational interviewing. Evidence shows that these therapies have the most positive effect on a client’s motivation during treatment and on continued motivation well after treatment.

Holistic and experiential therapies are provided to clients as extracurricular activities during their treatment program. These therapies include equine therapy, yoga, acupuncture, and expressive arts. A healthy combination of evidence-based and experiential therapies has proven extremely effective in healing the mind, body, and spirit.

Levels of Care

Levels of Care in Our Luxury Continuum

Recovery rarely happens in one setting. Most of our clients move through more than one level of care, stepping down in intensity as they stabilize, and the luxury residence is one point along that path rather than the whole of it. Because New Dawn has been family-owned since 1987 and we run the full continuum ourselves, the transitions between levels stay inside our own team: the same clinical staff, the same records, the same people who already know your history. Here is how that progression usually looks:

Medically Supervised Detox, Typically 5 to 7 Days:

We manage withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other substances with round-the-clock monitoring by nurses, master’s-level therapists, medical assistants, EMTs, and on-call physicians. Medication-assisted treatment may be started here when it is clinically appropriate.

Luxury Residential Treatment, 30 to 90 Days:

Private, gender-specific homes limited to six clients, with a 1:3 clinician-to-client ratio, daily individual therapy, small-group work, experiential supports, and chef-prepared meals. It is the same clinical model as our standard residential program, delivered in a more private setting for people whose work or visibility makes discretion the deciding factor.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Up to 6 Hours a Day:

PHP runs up to six hours a day, five days a week, holding residential-level clinical intensity while you sleep at home or in supportive housing. It is the usual bridge out of residential care for clients who no longer need overnight supervision.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), 3 to 5 Sessions a Week:

IOP meets three to five times a week for two to three hours per session, with morning, afternoon, and evening options so treatment fits around work and family. Length is set by clinical progress rather than the calendar, and most clients are with us six to eight weeks.

Outpatient Services, Weekly:

As structure gives way to independence, outpatient services keep you in regular individual and group therapy at a lower frequency. It suits clients who are medically stable, living in housing that supports recovery, and want continued clinical contact while they rebuild routines.

Dual Diagnosis Care, Alongside Every Level:

When depression, anxiety, or trauma sits underneath the substance use, treating one without the other tends not to hold. Dual diagnosis care runs concurrently with whichever level of care you are in, and clients whose primary need is psychiatric can step into our mental health PHP and IOP instead.

Aftercare and Alumni Support, Ongoing:

The months after a program ends are when relapse risk is highest, so our aftercare and alumni support focuses on relapse-prevention planning, ongoing groups, and staying connected to people who know your history. Graduates keep access to our alumni network and app for as long as they want it.

How Does the Luxury Rehab Admissions Process Work?

Admission to a New Dawn luxury treatment center is fast, easy, and relies on a simple three-step process to get started:

  1. Call: Our trained staff members are available to answer any questions in a completely confidential call to our admissions team.
  2. Verify: Our intake coordinators will verify the client’s insurance benefits, free of charge. During this call, we will inform the client of any out-of-pocket expenses. We will explain exactly what insurance will cover and what expenses the client will be responsible for.
  3. Admit: After insurance is verified, admission is scheduled promptly, and within 24 to 48 hours, the client can begin their recovery at New Dawn.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

A luxury drug rehab delivers the same evidence-based clinical care as any accredited program, in a smaller and more private setting. At New Dawn, that means gender-specific homes limited to six clients, private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, chef-prepared meals, and a 1:3 clinician-to-client ratio. The treatment model does not change. The setting, the census, and the amount of individual attention do.

Cost depends on your length of stay, the level of care you need, and your specific insurance benefits, so there is no single figure we can quote honestly. We verify your coverage free of charge before admission and tell you exactly what your out-of-pocket responsibility will be, with no surprise billing afterward. We also offer a Treatment Pricing Guarantee that matches the cost of a comparable treatment center, financing through My Treatment Lender, and discounts for veterans, first responders, former union workers and their families, and our alumni.

Many do. New Dawn is a preferred provider with major carriers including Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Optum, TRICARE, and TriWest. Verification is free and confidential, we bill your insurance on your behalf, and you will know what is covered before you arrive rather than after you leave. If you do not see your carrier listed, we may still be contracted with them.

Private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, chef-prepared meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free, spacious common areas, and gender-specific housing. Programming includes yoga, acupuncture, art and music therapy, equine and alpaca-assisted therapy, and outdoor recreation such as hiking and gym access.

Amenities alone do not produce recovery. The clinical work does. What a private setting can change is whether someone starts treatment at all, and how fully they engage once they are there. For clients who would otherwise delay care over privacy concerns, or who cannot focus in a large facility, a six-client home removes a real barrier. Whichever setting you choose, the intensity of your care is matched to clinical need rather than to price.

Most luxury residential stays run 30 to 90 days, set by clinical progress rather than a fixed calendar. From there, most clients step down into PHP, then IOP, then outpatient services and aftercare. Clients who complete a 90-day residential program are also covered by our One-Year Treatment Guarantee: if a relapse occurs within a year, you can return for treatment at no cost.

Yes. Substance use treatment records carry protections beyond standard medical privacy under federal law, and we do not confirm your presence here to anyone without your written authorization. Discretion is a large part of why this tier exists, and it extends to how we handle calls, visitors, and correspondence.

Yes, when it is clinically appropriate and you want them to be. Family sessions are part of programming across our levels of care, and we also support families who are trying to figure out how to help someone who has not yet accepted treatment.

New Dawn operates across Northern California and in Reno, Nevada. Our admissions team can tell you which residence currently has availability and how soon you could be admitted, which is usually within 24 to 48 hours of completing insurance verification.
