Women's Residential Program
New Dawn’s 30 day, 60 day, and 90-day Residential Drug and Alcohol Rehab program is customized for women at their own facility. This program offers patient-centered treatment, individual therapy, group counseling, and family therapy in homelike residential settings. Our aim is to help each person break free from the physical and psychological controls of addiction so that they can stop struggling and live happy and healthy lives. New Dawn’s Lifetime Aftercare Alumni benefit is the only program of its kind that provides free weekly aftercare support for life, helping thousands of individuals maintain lifelong sobriety.
All rooms are semi-private (two each per room) to reduce the chance of isolation and foster a sense of comradery. The houses include relaxing living rooms with wall-mounted flat-screen televisions, dining rooms, full kitchens, plush mattresses, fresh linens, and private backyard patios. While each house is gender-specific, the residents share many of the same therapy groups. Program residents have the option of eating meals together as a community or in their respective houses.
Our experienced team of master’s level therapists, drug addiction counselors, doctors, nurses, and support staff provide clinically based therapy and counseling techniques that have been proven to result in the highest success rates. Evidence-based approaches that we apply in group and individual therapy settings include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and neurobiology of addiction. We also offer an introduction to 12 step based support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as an introduction to support alternatives such as Smart Recovery and LifeRing.
Because therapy can be physically and mentally taxing, we offer an array of outside activities and holistic experiences designed to bring peace, reduce stress, and promote physical and emotional wellbeing. Examples include Equine Assisted Therapy, Yoga, Acupuncture, daily recreation therapy at California Family Fitness, and Art Therapy. Our in-house culinary arts-trained chefs prepare healthy, nourishing meals from scratch daily. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and diabetic dietary needs can be accommodated as well.
We are one of the few residential programs in the country to offer a free 30-day residential stay if a relapse occurs within one year of program completion (90-day program stay required). Very few programs also offer free Lifetime Aftercare to all program graduates. We can offer these programs because New Dawn has been family-owned and operated for nearly 30 years, and we are not controlled by private investors or large Hedge Funds. This gives us the advantage of being able to focus on providing the highest quality of care at very affordable rates.
